Multi-entity consolidation with the model of your AX version.
Almost every AX table separates companies by DATAAREAID. The AX 2012 and R3 general ledger does not: the line has no such column, and the company is resolved through the ledger book from the entry header (the red line). A report that assumes DATAAREAID on the ledger either mixes entities or returns nothing, and both failures are hard to catch in time. AX 2009 is a different model: the ledger is LEDGERTRANS and it does carry DATAAREAID; the mapping changes and we cover that too. Your cost centres are not on the line either: they are dimension combinations that must be resolved against their backing entity before they stop being an opaque number. That work is done, validated against real AX 2012 R2 and R3 installations.
